Louis Hardin, ‘Moondog’
(May 26th, 1916 – September 8th, 1999)

Louis was a great friend and supporter of London Saxophonic, his compositions for saxophones, the two cd recordings and the numerous live performances given between 1992 and 1995 were fundamental in shaping the composition of and early musical direction of the group. Louis’s music is still very much a part of London Saxophonic and firmly established as part of the ensembles core repertoire.

More information about the extraordinary life and work of Moondog can be found by visiting www.managarm.com

‘Sax pax for a sax’ and ‘Rare Material’ are released by ROOF Records.
